Museum Adventure Pass
Grab a Museum Adventure Pass for free admission or discounts at select Chicago-area destinations!
Visit the Museum Adventure Pass website to view current offers.
- Passes are limited per attraction and available on a first-come, first-served basis when the library is open.
- Borrow up to one single-use pass per family, per week.
- Passes expire 7 days from the date of issue. You may request a new pass on the 8th day.
Request online and receive by email
- Visit Available Passes to see what’s available now.
- Select “ONLINE Pass Request” next to your selected destination.
- Enter your name, library card number, and email address and press submit.
- You will receive an email after your request has been reviewed. If your request has been approved, the email will include an electronic version of your pass. Download the pass to your device to use electronically or print the pass to take with you on your visit.

- Visit Available Passes to see what’s available now.
- Stop by the Adult & Teen or Youth Desks when you visit the library. Let us know where you’d like to go, and have your Grayslake Area Library card ready.
- We’ll make sure we have a pass available, and then, we will print a pass for you to take with you on your visit.

- Explore More Illinois passes must be reserved for a specific date. Many locations also require a separate reservation or ticket. Some attractions require you to print the pass. Others will accept a copy on your phone. Refer to the instructions for your choice of destination.
- You can have three active reservations per library card.

- Visit the Explore More Illinois Website
- Enter your Grayslake Area Public Library card and your password (by default, the last 4 digits of your phone number).
- Select “Show first available offer” next to your selected destination.
- Reserve the date of your choice, verify your email address, and click Continue.
- Download the pass to your device to use electronically or print the pass to take with you on your visit (location requirements may vary).
