Homebound Service
Contactless Homebound Delivery is available!
First and foremost, the health, safety, and well-being of our library patrons and staff members are our top priority; we are adhering to public health and safety guidelines both with homebound delivery and in the building reopening process.
How Contactless Service Works
- You may request books, movies and other library materials by sending an email to homebound@grayslake.info, or by calling the new Homebound Services number at (847)665-1035.
- You may also go to our website, grayslake.info, to access your library account (card # and PIN = last 4 digits of your phone number) and place items on hold.
- A staff member will follow up with you to verify your item requests, holds, and purchase suggestions, and arrange a delivery appointment.
- Your requested items will be delivered to your home in a clean cloth library bag by a staff member wearing a face mask and practicing social distancing.
- If you have items to be returned to the library, please place them in the cloth library bag they were delivered in or in a plastic bag outside your door.
- Don't worry if items remain on your account temporarily; you will not be charged any fees.
Other Library Membership Benefits
- With your library card, you have access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, databases, movies, music, and digital magazines through our website!
- The library is offering many virtual programs at this time, and we invite you to participate from home. You can view events on the library's calendar and on our Facebook page, and can register online.
Thank you for your patience through this challenging time; we are looking forward to providing homebound service to you again and hope to hear from you soon. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Best regards,
Public Services Department Grayslake Area Public Library
