Epilog Mini Laser Cutter
This laser cutter is able to cut (vector) and engrave (raster) on a variety of approved materials, including solid woods, cork, cardboard, and certain acrylics and glass with high precision and speed. Etched glass designs, signs, wood engravings, and coasters are just a few of the items that can be made. The versatility of the Epilog Mini enables makers, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs to create diverse products.
Designs with images, shapes, and/or text can be created in a graphics software program such as Inkscape (free and open-source), Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDRAW and saved to a thumb drive or imported from a file.
The laser cutter is free to use. A variety of materials will be available to purchase from The Hub, or you can bring your own (subject to approval by a Hub mentor).
Patrons will need to be certified by a Hub mentor and use is by appointment.
Silhouette Cameo 3 Vinyl Cutter
The Cameo 3 has the ability to cut vinyl stickers, heat applied transfers, cardstock, chipboard, stencils, fabric, and more. It has a 12” x 12” cutting mat and can draw designs with a pen along with its cutting capabilities.
The Cameo 3 connects to a computer, allowing freedom to download designs from the internet or create one’s own designs with the included Silhouette software or other scalable vector graphics (SVG) software such as Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDRAW.
The Cameo 3 is free to use. Patrons may bring in their own materials or materials may be purchased in The Hub at the time of use.
Patrons will need to be certified on the Cameo 3 by a Hub mentor before being allowed full access.
