Juggling Stories and More Galore
Saturday, June 21 at 10:30 am
Seasoned storyteller and master laughter maker, Bob Kann, jiggles and juggles through a morning of story fun at the library. This is a free family event. Registration and tickets are required.

Bring Your Own Picnic
as we Celebrate Reading with fun and games. Jason Kollum, the tallest man in Grayslake will be stilt-walking and balloon twisting. There will be face-painting, games, and plain old fun. The party is on the lawn.... be there, or be square. This is a free family event. No tickets required.

Mark Nichols and His Puppet Theater

Mark Nichols will once again delights us with his puppets. This is a free family event. Registration and tickets are required.

Jeffrey the Great
Saturday, August 9 at 10 am

Celebrating Dad
Saturday, June 7 at 10 am
Come share the greatness of Dads. We will read some wonderful funny stories about Dad, and make a special craft for Father’s Day.

Book Buddies
Tuesdays, June 24 - July 29 at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm
Buddy-up with a Middle Schooler, who will read aloud some of your favorite books. No registration required.

Tuesday Crafts
Tuesdays, June 24; July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 11 am to Noon
Make crafts your game and see how much fun crafts can be. Register for 1 or all 6 fun-filled mornings. Grades 4 and up. *YRR

Play Ball!
Tuesday, June 24 at 6:30 pm
Hey All-Stars: run, kick, and jump on over to the library to hear stories about sports. You’ll design a pennant to help cheer for your favorite team. Wear your favorite team ball cap or T-shirt. Ages 5 - 8. *YRR

Roll It Over, Beethoven!
Thursday, June 26 from 3:30 - 5 pm
Write your own song! We’ll work on lyrics and music in the computer lab. No prior music experience necessary. Grades 2 and up. *YRR (Bring a disk or drive to save your song.)

Juggling with Jason Kollum
Wednesday, July 2 at 3:30 pm
So you want to learn to juggle? This is your chance! Join us for a one hour hands-on workshop in juggling. Grades 2 - 5. *YRR

Cool Science: Bridge It!
Tuesday, July 8 at 4 pm
Will it hold up? Build a bridge, and test your structure. Grades 4 and up. *YRR

Make-your-own Games!
Monday, July 14 at 10 am or 6:30 pm
Create your own games and puzzles to play with friends and family! Ages 6 - 9. *YRR

Celebrate the Fancy Nancy in you!
Tuesday, July 15 at 7 pm
Join us for les amusements et les jeux. "Les amusements et les jeux" is French for "fun and games" (everything is fancier in French). We will read about Fancy Nancy, make a craft, practice etiquette with a snack, and play a fancy game or two. Remember to wear your fanciest outfit. Tiaras are always welcome. Grades K - 2. *YRR

Just For Pet Lovers
Wednesday, July 16 at 6:30 pm
Learn about pet care from an expert. Our guest presenter will bring some furry friends, talk about pet care, and give you an opportunity to ask questions. Grades K - 5. *YRR

The Return of Royal Storytime!
Wednesday, July 23 at 6:30 pm
You are cordially invited to join us as we read books fit for princesses and brave knights. Design your own mini castle to take home. Royal attire welcomed. Ages 5-8. *YRR

Checker Tournament
Tuesday, July 29 at 10 am
Show us your game and register for the 1st Annual Checker Tournament. Participants will be divided by ages. Ages 5 and up. *YRR

B-I-N-G-O!
Saturday, August 2 at 10:30 am
Prizes! Fun! Join us for a Family Bingo Party! Children, parents, and grandparents of all ages, enjoy a fun-filled game of bingo! This is a family event, registration is required. *YRR

Chalk Art Storytime
Thursday, August 7 at 10 am
Come for a special outdoor storytime! We’ll read some stories, color with chalk, and have a special snack! In case of rain, program will be held indoors. Ages 2-6. *YRR

Kindergarten Kick-off
Tuesday, August 5 at 11 am and 1 pm
A special program for children entering Kindergarten. *YRR

Back to School Fun
Tuesday, August 12 at 11 am
Join us in making some fun back to school supplies. Grades 4 and up. *YRR

Under the Stars Storytime
Thursday, August 14 at 7 pm
Come for a family storytime outside and under the stars. We will read some fun outdoor books and try to count all of the stars in the night sky. This program is open to the entire family. In case of rain, program will be held indoors. No registration required.

Jr. American Girl Kickoff
Monday, August 25 at 6:30 pm
Join us for an adventure-filled evening. Make a surprise craft and test your American Girl knowledge as you compete in the American Girls 20 Questions Game. Grades K - 3. *YRR
