Tee off in the TeenSpace, bogey in the Biographies, or eagle in the Easy Readers – it’s all fun, no matter what your skill level.
Our daytime session runs from 1 pm to 4 pm and is open to everyone. Children will receive free ice cream at the 19th hole, sponsored by Ace Hardware of Grayslake and Round Lake Beach.
In the evening, 7 pm - 11 pm, adults 21 and up will be treated to a Wine and Craft Beer tasting and hors d’oeuvres, both courtesy of the Vine. Other beverages will be available to purchase.
Players will also receive their own golf balls, sponsored by State Bank of the Lakes, and water bottles, sponsored by Grayslake Rehabilitation, until supplies run out. Other sponsors include 2t Spoons, Ashley Alwin Salon, Avon Township Republican Party, Central Bark Doggie Daycare, Churchill, Quinn, Richtman and Hamilton, Ltd., Dr. Sellke and Reily, Exchange Club of Grayslake, Friends of the Grayslake Library, Grayslake Area Jaycees, Landscape Concepts Management, Inc., Mayor Rhett Taylor, Rockenbach Chevrolet Sales, Inc., and The UPS Store.
Greens fees are $5 for the daytime event and $20 for the evening event. Tickets are available at the Grayslake Library Circulation Desk. To find out more about the event or how to sponsor and decorate a hole, please contact Roberta Thomas, Library Director at firstname.lastname@example.org or 847-223-5313 x205.
Although libraries are traditionally quiet places and golf courses are, too, that’s not going to be the atmosphere at the library’s golf course. The library will be open for business, but patrons will be considered course hazards, and quiet studying will be impossible. For our patrons who seek a place of peace and quiet, please visit us on Friday or Sunday.
