What is Homebound Service?
Homebound Service is the free delivery of library materials to Grayslake Area
Public Library District residents who are unable to come to the library due to
physical disabilities or illness.
Who Qualifies for This Service?
Any resident who lives within the Grayslake Area Public Library district and is
homebound due to a temporary or long term physical disability, handicap,
illness, or condition resulting in limited mobility.
Is There a Charge for This Service?
Homebound delivery is a free service.
What Library
Materials are Available?
Books in large print or regular size print, audio books in cassette
and/or CD format, music CDs, VHS and DVDs. New items will not be available for homebound delivery until after they have been
removed from “New” status.
How Does This Service Work?
Homebound deliveries are made once a month. The Outreach Librarian will be in
contact with you prior to each visit to discuss your reading preferences and
material selection.
